Rent a car software for Pakistan: what it should actually do
پاکستان کے لیے رینٹ اے کار سافٹ ویئر
A plain guide for rent-a-car shops in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala and Faisalabad: what car rental software needs to handle in Pakistan, what to ignore, and what it should cost.

Most rent-a-car software you will find online was built for airport counters in Dubai or Dallas. Fleet of 500, credit cards, insurance codes, nothing about attached cars, CNICs, WhatsApp or a register on the counter. A shop in Gujranwala with 25 cars, 18 of them belonging to other people, needs something else.
The seven jobs
- Fleet and papers. Every car, its owner, its registration, token tax, insurance and the date each expires.
- Bookings on a calendar that cannot double book. One row per car, visible on every phone in the shop. How double bookings happen.
- Check out and check in with photos, odometer and fuel. From the phone, at the keys, in a minute. The six photos.
- Deposits and payments. Cash, JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank. A deposit on record, a refund on record. Deposits.
- Car owner statements and a login for each owner. The feature that grows a shop. Owner statements and getting more cars attached.
- A renter check that works across shops. A CNIC searched against incidents other shops reported. The CNIC check.
- Staff logins and a log. Every discount, void and change with a name and a time.
What to ignore
Online booking widgets nobody in Pakistan uses, GPS dashboards that need a tracker in every car, loyalty points, and anything that only works on a laptop. Your staff will run the shop from a phone. If the check-out screen is not comfortable on a phone, the photos will not get taken.
Urdu
Agreements are signed by renters who read Urdu. The agreement should print in English and Urdu, from the booking, with the deposit, the daily rate and the photos referenced. Staff should not need to be "computer people". If they can use WhatsApp, they should be able to use the software.
What it should cost
Per car, per month, so a 10-car shop and a 60-car shop pay in proportion, with hosting, backups, updates and support included, and no separate server to buy. Amanat is PKR 600 per car per month, minimum ten cars, with the first month free using your own cars. A 25-car shop pays PKR 15,000 a month, which is less than two days' rent of one Corolla.
Cities
Amanat is built in Sialkot and used by shops across Punjab and Sindh. Setup is done at your counter for shops in Sialkot, Gujranwala, Lahore and Islamabad, and on a WhatsApp video call for Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar and everywhere else. The software is the same; the only difference is who types in your first 30 cars.
Questions shops ask
What is the best rent a car software in Pakistan?
The one your staff will actually use from a phone at the counter. It must handle attached cars and owner statements, photos at handover, CNIC checks and deposits in rupees. Amanat was built in Sialkot for exactly that, and you can try it free for a month with your own cars.
How much does car rental software cost in Pakistan?
Foreign products cost 50 to 200 US dollars a month and are not built for Pakistani shops. Custom software from a local developer runs PKR 150,000 to 500,000 once, plus maintenance. Amanat is PKR 600 per car per month, minimum ten cars, everything included.
Does it work without a laptop?
Yes. Check out, check in, photos, deposits and the owner portal all work from an ordinary Android phone. A laptop is useful for reports and month end, not required.
Amanat does all of this from a phone, for PKR 600 per car a month. First month free, set up with your own cars.
